Segregation in Tournaments

Official Atwar tournaments, or any tournament that has atwar trophies should not be allowed to segregate players based on arbitrary reasons such as race,age or not being a "casual player"

RatWar and Taz Youlkepoye should be ashamed for discriminating players that don't play casual. Plenty of people that i know just don't have the time to invest months worth of time in casual games, that this two individuals set up an arbitrary requirement to participate in their tournament is disgusting.

If that tournament takes place, it shound't give any trophies as is rigged and lacks sportsmanship.

Agree, there is literally no difference between a casual and a normal player. We both play the same game so why are we trying to divide ourselves.

A house divided against itself, cannot stand. I believe this game cannot endure, permanently, half casual and half free.

Ive brought the same thing up in his thread, all his explenations are vague, kinda seems like he just wants to get a free trophy by playing against noobs.

Then again im not suprised, its taz, the same guy that once scammed people in duels not too long ago.

Let us rise to the call of freedom loving blood that is in us and send our answer to the tyranny that clanks its chains upon the Casuals. I think Taz and RatWar meant well. They just thought it would be nice to do something FOR Casual Players, not really AGAINST quick game players. So I personally don't think they should be "ashamed" - on the contrary, they put a lot of efforts in promoting the game, with good intention.

This being said, my preference would be, like yours, that there should not be any "segregation" (especially when trophies are at stake).

At no point does it say is rank restricted - as 4nic said before, this is an attempt to farm noobs and get an easy trophy for themselves.

If you care so much about experience why would they allow a team with a bloody rank 15 and a rank 13 to play vs a rank 6 and a rank 5. Take a look at the list, half of the people there are above rank 10.

I sent a message in private to warn of this tournament to casual players, I had to send between 100 and 150 message, and it's not over.
After, I can not do anything if the high ranks raising from this community do not wish to participate. I will not force them.

Why be blamed for this?

If you really want to play in a casual tournament open to all, there is the Risk tournament that is proposed since August, but it can be too complicated for people who complain.

I hope now, that all this was finally a misunderstanding and that everything will be back to normal.

Why are we treating casual players like they are special. Regardless of your intentions, this come across as intentionally trying to divide this community more.

Causal players generally are not as competitive or skilled at the game either, why would you want to invade their tournament made for them when you haven't even played with them or share anything in common with them? For your magic points? I understand the theory of high ranks farming these guys, but to say that they can't have their own tournament amongst themselves is just weird man. Would you allow scenario players in your EU+ 3v3 games? No, your community kicks them out of games. The shoe is on the other foot now.

What a load of horseshit. Im labelled a competitive player and yet ive posted several guides and posts regarding gameplay and atwar mechanics. Last time i checked we were all playing the same game called atwar.

There should not be any segregation in the community if rewards are offered, and if you cant get people to join without sending 150 private messages, then that shows people are not invested and really aint
a seperate community in the first place. Its called "casual" for a reason. Not everyone deserves a trophy in this world for just being apart of a game mode most people do not prefer, and everyone should be allowed to participate. That would be like me hosting a tournement only for people who have a H in there name and expecting a community sanctioned trophy to make it lol.

Casual is a good equalizer.

Anyways if they are investing the time to run the tournament as individuals then they can run it how they wish. If it is an 'official' tournament endorsed by AtWar, then it should be open to all.
