shut the fuck up already you idiot.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_of_Rome_(game)
The goal of the game is to have one of one's senators amass enough Influence to be declared "Consul for Life," or, barring that, have one's faction have most total Influence when the maximum number of game turns have been played.

Na the 2-3 enemies is what makes it fun and complicated. But other than that..great idea. Support
But 2-3 enemies are good for mid-game, end game, not for the game that just started... That's like playing 1v3 in atwar without the possibilty to allow latejoin.. or allow latejoin but for the other team.
I have no problem about 2-3 enemies, i have problem with 2-3 enemies turn 2.
Give us one enemy, let us defeat him, annex his territory, than give us another enemy, wait to defeat him and conquer his territory, than throw 2 enemies on us; one kingdom and one bad omen or unrest or both. But doing this in turn 2 is just ridiculous

No, keep it as it is (and maybe increase difficulty if we're doing it as a team without infighting amongst individuals). We could try and conquer beyond the boundaries of the Roman Empire...see how far we get before we die.
Now you are just dreaming. You want even more difficulty when we can't reach turn 5.

Also i do agree to the fact that rome should win not one player.
this should be a game for fun and team effort not a 1 player takes all
its not.... any number of players can win

The forum game is based on the board game.
Dont forget about assasination attempts along the way. Might want to get a body gaurd before you take a run at 35 influence.

Dictator - Absolute Commander of the State (must be an ex-Consul) +7 influence
Nominations: Only if 3 or more active wars or an active war a combined land and fleet strength ≥ 20.
No vote requried, picked by the Consuls , can be one of themselves, or anyone else they pick. If they can't agree no dictator will be appointed. A Dictator may also be proposed via the use of a Tribune and voted on against.
Powers: He handles all the proposals by himself, may raise legions/fleets without a vote, appoint commands without a vote. He must also appoint a master of horse.
"no vote required" i mean, the other consul agreed to make gow dictator, so why vote?

I only agreed to support GoW in his move to be Dictator, but by having a vote, I even consulted Aetius, and he said a vote was needed for him to become Dictator, I also said to GoW a vote was needed, and he never said otherwise.

I was at work all day. No time to vote.
On the topic of changing rules to make the game easier. It wasn't easy for Rome to conquer it's lands so why should it be for us. We are rookie commanders/Senators and they were knowledgeable well experienced commanders.
So we've got to keep trying until we become knowledgeable and experienced.

Actually real Rome had advantage over their enemies. Therefore it was way easier for them.
Real Rome had troubles maintaining the Empire after the civil war and barbarian invasion, not before that.

You think it is easy to conquer land? no its very difficult and if the roman senators weren't geniuses it wouldn't have work. Not just any dom dick or harry can pull it of.
Anyway an easy game is boring where is the challenge.

You don't understand, nevermind.
Wanted to post link of wikipedia page i've read that Rome was so powerful that it didn't worry about the neighbors and enjoyed its wealth while wars were led by generals who wanted to enter politcs through easy military victories. I can't find the article now.
