So I was playing another strategy game called Warlight the other day when I realized that Afterwind should have the same kinds of maps as this!

Its more detailed then the current maps and I personally like it better(Not really for world maps but for smaller Euro maps.)
I propose it be an option like 100+ cities is.Plus,it also allows for more realistic historical scenarios(Because some countries had different borders than today).

Dude, the whole point of Afterwind is that there are no grids. In fact, I haven't come across any other turn-based game that doesn't have some sort of fixed placement of areas where units can go. This is Afterwind's greatest innovation and if it's taken away, it will just feel like a RISK clone.

No, just no. Different game, different paradigm. Don't even consider it.

That map looks like shit to be honest. I'd leave if Afterwind changed to that.

In that case, let me just quote the FAQ:

Sorry, this takes too much time to implement, so probably not going to happen anytime soon. Also, there are scenarios, where you can rename countries, etc but not edit their borders.

I have also played warlight some time ago(too bad the game is now dead) and i have to say it had something different from all other turn-based games and i got addicted to it

Afterwind feels so much better and has so much more depth specifically because it doesn't do that
