I know I should have made multiple threads for this, but I just had to brain dump before I forgot. Sorry mods. 1) Why did Amok and Ivan get rid of whole country bonus. I know the blog says it was "too confusing" but I didn't find it that way at all. Quite the opposite in fact. It would be integral to creating a modern world custom map by helping you to decide which income to use for cities. Instead, you now have to compensate for the lack of "rural" income for a country by disproportionately and inaccurately adding to the city's income. I think they should bring it back, and if you choose not to use the feature, leave it blank or put in 0. 2) On that note, without a full country bonus, I've run into a conundrum with my Media Market Mayhem map on what income to use for my cities. Should I use just the income the city generates, just the income the county generates, or the metro area? The same goes for population. And before you run off and say metro area, some of the metro areas borders are not the same as the borders of the media market, what I am determining my countries based on. So if I were to use metro area income and populations, I may end up with incorrect data. But if I use just the city proper, cities that are more geographically inclusive, like Jacksonville, than others will be disproportionately more powerful than others, like Miami. Help. 3) There should really be a way to re-size your map without having to redraw all your borders. Just saying.

This is my main problem. Please, which should I do. I'm deathly afraid of criticism.

lolz that contradiction.... My advice is stick with one set of data and ignore other calls to change them. If you are consistent throughout then it will show in the game balance, but if you take data from allsorts of places then your map will suffer. PS: If you aren't sure about your own maps and afraid of criticism, don't go bashing other people's maps.... Sincerely, ezzatam
