Will they ever be allowed? Just spent and hour making a flag of [REDACTED] on paint (to make it look like the default flags; same style I mean, clean), but since you can only upload flags in Jpeg, it looks all blurry. If it were added to premium, I'd buy it (even though i'm beta) just for that, it annoys me that much.

I think the same.
but i think:
they should add more maximun KB to the game picture
200 kb sucks, maybe if they change it to 300 kb.

Png sounds good. If implemented I won't have to worry about "Is it a jpeg file?" or with what Tunder said is implemented " How big is this?"

Guys, what i'm trying to say, is that .Jpgs look extremely sloppy. The pictures blur when shrunk that small; I even shrunk the pictures to the right size myself, and it still uploads blurry! It's the blurry/heat-wave looks that make me wish we could use .png, because they save much more smoothly, without the blur. What you guys posted seem to be "Here's how to save it as .jpg", that's not what i'm saying.

Actually, Gardevoir, it's not the fault of the format.

It's worse than that. The game actually uses a converter on every single picture. For instance, every flag has rounded edges, and I'd assume they don't just obscure the edges, they actually run a macro on the pictures and save them that way. They also have to use a resizer for most pictures, obviously.

That's what I'd assume, anyway. But that's just me.

Yes, it's the format. I could save a 100% made flag of...let's say, Austria-Hungary, that I made myself in paint. It uses a very low palette of colors (all of the reds are one shade, you get it it). Very basic colors, made in paint, so when I save it as a .png, the colors do not distort and stay exact to the original piece. But when I save it as a .jpg, it blurs and distorts. It is not the fault of the website, it's the file type.

Shitty conversion algorithms do that too, as well as reducing the size of the image.

I'd recommend using the GIMP to save them. Don't use a program, open them all individually and save them using the GIMP's save dialogue. It's much more advanced than that of Paint.NET I have to say. When I save images with the JPEG quality meter up to 100% in the GIMP (default is 85% for most programs, and if often an unchangeable parameter) they look just fine.

Nevertheless, the back-end software is mostly at fault here, not so much your image editor.

Actually, we do just obscure the edges (when it comes to rounded corners).
