How do you defend/make offensive moves against PD France?

Any answers are welcomed in any scenario. I'm doing a series of questions that aren't exactly known in the community or may help people who don't know.

Is this about the WW1 scenario? If so, you could try IF, or invading Italy to reach France to reduce deaths, and then invading France from Italy.
