Why can't i edit a map

I am trying to edit my friends map, he gave me colabrator perimission, but it says that i must unlock custom map creation to do it? Why? M

Only premium members can edit maps/scenarios. :'(

Developing and maintaining this game is related to costs (RL costs!). Owners/admins require income for such tasks. Acquiring Premium Accounts and ProtoCoins are the income sources of this gaming scheme. Map-making is one of the advantages players obtain when buying Premium Accounts. Sorry to say, but its useless to ask for free map-making features; for now. Good luck.
