Ukraine vs Turkey

It seems to me that classic East 1v1 is no longer interesting in that ukraine gets too much advantage, especially with Blitz. Blitz ukraine is money powered, capable of rushing ankara, defending a PD rush, or slowrolling. Therefore I find hardship confronting ukraine a lot. Certain players even leave duel game if they fail to get 1st pick. I interviewed some reputed players in this game, and they share the same view.





As such, I suggest nerfing ukraine in 1v1 game, by disallowing additional reinforcements. In other words, reinforcements ukraine gets in east 1v1 shall be as same as it gets in 3v3 game.

However, as far as I concern the gameplay mechanism will not be supportive of my thought in that reinforcement one gets is based on opponent's starting units.

Therefore I would want to gather views from the community to see how to deal with this exciting yet imbalanced east combat. It is a pity players nowadays tend to play west duel for a more balanced game.

P.S It is my pleasure to duel you if you regard ukraine-turkey as balanced:)

Its true, Ukraine always had better advantage ...remember just the east tourney which was won by who ever got 2 picks on Ukraine.

And yea now when few discovered how blitz Ukraine is fuckin OP (*cough* Zone *cough*) ...well.

Agree that ukraine has advantage. Lao always win me with Ukr and same for me... It needs balance yes.

As player who got pretty strong Ukraine, I have to say, yes, in 1v1's Ukraine has some advantage.

How big advantage depends on skill of Turkey opponent and also, it IS beatible

As far as I know I am not really skilled in ukraine area but I think it is pretty able to kill blitz ukraine as turkey. I think it mostly depends on the way you play (slowroll/rush/luck/etc). But I do agree that since the boost of blitz, blitz ukraine became to OP compared with the rest. especially in 1v1.

Killing ukr is beatable getting full Balkans turn or Balkan with Italy. After that Turk has to late move key territories such as Belarus Poland Austria etc. then slowly expand west.

This is a tricky issue to approach, since the ukraine/turk dynamic has been the way it has for so long. Ukraine is the country with the least amount of viable counters.

However its not just the gameplay of 1v1s we need to keep in mind if we are looking at nerfing a country. In teamgames the turk/ukr battle is fine there, particularly with new turk expand innovations by lynchski.

Lets be clear though. Ukraine specifically isnt the problem. Its blitz ukraine. It snowballs units rapidly down on top of turk and beats turk to the money areas if played correctly. I had little issue with the new blitz ukr fad until i encountered zones blitz ukr. However ive only played it once and im not quite willing to throw in the towel yet. Ill continue seeking a method of countering it and im actually enjoying the challenge. Also yea this is only a 1v1 issue. Teamgame blitz ukraine is rubbish.

The Upgrade that makes blitz Strong is general upgrade, followed by infantry upgrade, and Air transportation hp and capacity. I've admit i fear blitz ukraine s as turk. because upgrades make blitz supreme

you don't under stand after like round 7 zone can pour 50 troop into the balkan. Kiev will be less protected because he know you don't have enough troop to take kiev if you expand wide and far

In 3v3 there is no problem beating a blitz ukraine, since he cant expand further than ukraines influencial zone and has weak defense. you cant compare blitz tanks with sm bombers either. in 1v1 its impossible to keep up with its expansion unless you either all out rush or all out expand. if turkey holds balkans + italy and all turkey cities, and manages to take some ukraine cities he is usually fine though, since he can pump out units at a fast rate. with a good economy you can start taking cities with tanks.

I played as blitz ukraine vs turk. In 3vs3 I always win, unless my teammate in the west lose or die. one tank has 8 attack and one sm bomber has 8 attack. but a tank cost 120 whereas a sm bomber cost 130. Also blitz infantry can attack as well unlike sm infantry. Also blitz op militia give an edge. if turk lose one of those high reinforcment city it may be his end; blitz militia move fast. when i first came back to at-war croat blitz my imp. and rush and won. now i realize blitz ukraine is better than sm ukraine. you goutta load and unload those troop troop in air transport, takes too long. It's easier to chain troop of similar unit for longer range than spamming air transport. sm ukraine consume more time than blitz ukraine.

The only way to beat zone is his internet

First of all, limiting the case to a specific country combo is bad. You only leave ukraine and turkey as the only picks, is like if I say "Turkey vs Cyrpus need more balance".

One country against another country doesn't need to be balanced. There are countries that are just superior against others. Turkey vs Ukraine is not any exception that requires attention.

Get austria and hungary (plus normal expansion) first turn. Plus bigwall. Laochra told me that is anti-blitz expansion :0 (I haven't tested yet, but he can confirm).

All the games I've won against blitz are with pd turkey either slow roll with all balkans and italy or let them rush you...
