All I kept seeing on facebook were posts bashing police and I have yet to see anything about this tragedy. I hate people who disrespect the police when they are out there everyday putting their lives on the line to protect you and your family. So many of the "cop haters" believe every time a shooting happens, the cop is the "criminal" and the person shot was "innocent" and the only thing that explains it is racism. All of them don't understand the law regarding when deadly force can be used especially the part in that law that says it is from a subjective viewpoint... not an objective viewpoint. It makes me even more pissed off when Obama goes and makes a speech about how these past two shootings this week are evident of racism, even though an investigation has yet to be done.

Hopefully they get the chair

blacks are a minority (12%) yet they do more than half of the crimes in the USA, is not a surprise they get shot more often.

Also knowing how afraid the police officers are, and remembering they wouldn't be if people did force stereotypes on their own races (African-Americans). If black people would not have made police officers scared of them to begin with, this problem wouldn't be here.

Believe it or not, that word is being floated around and the attack has been called a terrorist attack. I get where you are coming from and I agree completely that the identification of attacks like these as terrorist strikes should be used more often.

if you have never seen a cop caught on camera, beating up, raping and killing unarmed individuals then google it or go to liveleak, kaotic or the many sites dedicated to police brutality videos. I have only "filming cops" group on facebook and i get spammed several times per day with new videos of cops caught on camera, abusing innocent citizens and killing them. on a daily basis. and most of them never get charged.

and if you say that these videos are isolated events, watch the statistics. And even those are flawed, because only a small percentage of police stations report their data.

p.s. i really hope that this will create a trend, where american people finally push back and start killing cops on a daily basis. Then when the number of psycho cops finally drop down to normal levels, maybe, just maybe USA can finally become a serious, rational and civilized country like the ones in Europe, Canada and Australia and ban guns and instead of funding the police and jails, fund education.

Yes, police brutality does exist, but police are the lesser evil. When was the last time you heard about Hispanic Lives Matter militants shooting at cops due to cop violence on Hispanic communities? if cops are racist then why don't they kill hispanics as much?

They are not the lesser evil, in my eyes they are the greatest evil of all. The same people who are sworn to serve and protect you from criminals are actually commiting crimes every day and we find it acceptable because.. black gangsters are worse? Seriously? Im not gonna talk about if blacks commit more crimes than the rest (they do) or if cops are racist and biased against blacks (they are) or if the system and the society is at fault (partly it is) or if gun control laws would help ( they would) because i dont care.

I care that cops commit all kinds of recorded missconduct against the citizens they are sworn to protect, including violence, torture, rape, murder, on a daily basis, against not only blacks and hispanics, but tons of WHITES aswell, alot of them teenagers,females,retards,seniors and kids. And the few not- rotten apples that exist, are witnesses of excessive force and brutality by their fellow officers and turn a blind eye.

This is treason in my eyes, its working actively against the interests of your country and the lives of its citizens and should be treated as such. No mercy, death to all of them.

Sorry khal, but i am not going to bite the bait, or else you will turn this into a topic about how and why in anarchism we would all be holding hands.

This is sheer ridiculousness.

If you want to counter the racism inherent in US society, if you seek to eliminate the criminal stereotype that African Americans are often subjected to, shooting the police for no apparent reason or provocation is not helping your case. The protest riots (such as in Baltimore) and police shootings are doing the African American cause more harm than good.

Similarly, if you wish to defuse racial tension within the United States, if you want the African American community to be less hostile to the US establishment, including the police, protecting policemen who clearly don't have the temperament or training to actually police is not going to help. If a person is so concerned for his or her safety that they are willing to open fire at the slightest hint of a threat, then they are, simply put, not fit to police.

This is one of those issues that I suspect might never actually be resolved because neither side is taking any action to reconsider their position.

I'm sorry, but that protest you speak of in Baltimore is what I refer to as an uprising. Those delinquents destroyed a city; homes, cars, shops were all destroyed for no reason. Millions of dollars in damages and they want me to feel sorry for them? I don't think so...

It's not disproportionate when you consider blacks are much more likely to interact with police. Considering blacks commit more than half of violent crime, in others words a "disproportionate amount of crime" it is understandable to see a "disproportionate" amount of blacks killed by police. Based on 2012 data (got this from the work of Dr. Richard Johnson at the university of Toledo), it would take 40 years for the total amount of blacks killed by cops to equal the total of blacks killed by other blacks. 61% of people killed by cops are white, about 32% are black. People are killed by police about how often they're struck by lightning (haven't seen any protest about storms recently). According to FBI statistics, black me make up 6.5% of the population but cause 52% of all murders (decreased to around 40% over the past few years). Blacks are 27% more likely to attack whites than vice versa, and 6x more likely to attack hispanics. If there is one statistic I hope you and others get away, this comes from the FBI homicide report: 90% of blacks murdered die at the hands of other blacks. I don't see black lives matter discussing this issue. I don't see any protest over the 9 year old black boy in Chicago lured into an alley and then executed by a black gang. I don't see Al Sharpton visiting this boy's family. I don't see anyone talking about the fact that 72% of black children are born into a single parent home (usually lacking a father) which creates an immense burden on the child, particularly boys, who lack a father figure. They remain impoverished, attend poor schools, and get involved in crime much more frequently than a child with two parents. How is it that in the same span of time as the Civil Rights movement, the percent of blacks born without one parent has increased from 25% to 72%?

Two factors:
- Racism has existed in USA like... for ever? What does this mean? It means that people other than white have trouble with their daily lifes. This takes their patience to the limit sometimes.
- People (including blacks, innocent or not innocent) have a limit. They won't stand everything for ever.

Now, what has history taught us? It has taught us that people will crawl back to being agressive, no matter what you do, when they feel threatened or pushed to the limit. Whose fault is this? If you ask me, it's an historical repercusion. The consequence of a permanent racist feeling within USA. So, are blacks all that bad? Maybe some are, just as many whites are freaking retarded, but not the majority of them. It's just the background of your culture and the police is not helping them in any way to feel more comfortable I guess...

Solution: take away their guns for a couple days and make them talk already... both will keep commiting crimes while they have the power to do it.

The United states will never be a socialist democracy, we where never ruled by a king and we where never subjugated by another nation.
