My view of Christianity is any religious group that believes in God (as the three Abrahamic religions do) but Christians view Jesus Christ and their Lord and savior. Because of this, I would say that Catholicism falls under it (mind you, while I don't hate Catholics, I do disagree with the Catholic Church enormously on a variety of topics)

Christianity is a religion composed by several groups( Catholics, Orthodox, Protestants , + more than 50 different groups (even mormons))
All the religions including Greek Orthodox Church were used by bad people to achieve money power or another achievements.
Plus all of us have the same things: we believe in God, we believe that his son Jesus came to the world and died for our sins, etc..
Separate propaganda from the reality please.
Instead of fighting each other we should be united in this hard times.

i agree with andartes on this one , the catholics have always been against the eastern orthodoxy and tried to destroy us on many occasions.
Eastern orthodox goes after the old principles and the old calendar which jesus himself did and followed.

That is a great distortion of what happened in 1054 perpetuated and especially brought to attention after the 1204 moment by the Orthodoxy. The Roman Catholic point of view is different on the matter, 1054 moment was of not much importance, the true separation happened decades and hundreds of years later slowly when differences in dogma, like Roman priests not getting married while Orthodox ones kept on doing it, took place and it's not really a Schism, as the Roman church consider them 'schismatics' but not heretics, so something like lost brothers.

True Christianity is the one which is followed daily and hourly, may it be Protestant, Orthodox or Catholic.

Catholicism spread war hate and violence? Heh, I guess you can say the same regarding Orthodoxy. In my country Orthodox clergy was always hand in hand with vayvodes, with the so called secular power, even in the authoritarian regime of Carol II (before the start of WW2). Because there are many Catholics where fascism and nazism were born this does not equals with Catholics supporting them, remember how nazis stole from so many Catholic churches works of art from across the continent! How is this support? Inquisitions, tell me my Slav brother, how did the Orthodox church punished the witches and heretics? Forceful conversion? Wow, I just think of the Tartars across Russia or of the native peoples of Central Asia and North-East Asia who hmmm receive certain benefits for becoming Orthodox and obscurity and official disaproval for remaining Animist or Muslim etc..

Ghost and Andartes, that thing with Catholics tried to destroy us on many occasions, I am sorry to say it, but that is plain obsolete Orthodox bad-taste propaganda. Crusaders got Constantinople in 1204, you can say Christianity was 'unified' then (eventho' it's a wrong affirmation because it was not separated firmly as we believe today), why didn't they distroyed Orthodoxy? Becuase there was no Orthodoxy and Catholicism, there were only juristidctions of authority and you can say the Bishop of Rome had the authority of the Patriarchat of Constantinople temporarly. That difference you are implying I think it was created mainly by comunists to create even a bigger division between the Catholic/Protestans imperialist west and the communist Orthodox peaceful East. Plain bullshit communist propaganda, and man, if it just be true, but true history proves the contrary.

2. Catholics invaded Christian Constantinople in a CRUSADE, occupied it and renamed LATIN empire

I don't know for any witch hunt or inquisition in my christian society, our priests always advised people to stay away from witches and their fortune telling, never incited violence against them, and our priests were the loudest when hooligans and armies harassed jews, they opposed it because violence goes against our religion.

4. when Poles invade Russia they tried to convert as many as possible to catholicism, killing everyone who oppose them, and i don't remember Russia trying to convert Poland in 1790-1910, i don't remember Russia removing polish language, religion and names. That tells me that Poland was bad, and Russia was good. Was it because religion, of course it was, we are not taught to oppress anyone, but coexist and tolerate, we can't imagine forcing anyone to convert or change language just because we desire so.

That's why West is pure ethnically and their nation have 90% same ethnic group because they had inquisitions, genocide and intolerance towards others while East Europe and Russian nation comprise of 70% natives and 30% minorities ranging from muslims, gypsies, mongols, buddhists to pagans of the ancient and schismatics. That is the proof of Slavic and Christian freedom as anyone could identify as it wish without fear to be persecuted.
