Map Making Tools: How to create a map background?

So recently I found this cool free to use map background making tool online, it's pretty easy to use and since I've been asked in the past where is a decent place to find good quality backgrounds I thought I'd share this one with everyone. https://topps.diku.dk/torbenm/maps.msp . I messed around with it for maybe 30 mins or so and I ended up making this...

P.s I watermarked it as I might make it into a map on AtWar someday.

There are certain players who infringe on other peoples works, he can also apparently make maps too so i put a tiny bit of a watermark on it just in case. If anything I'd challenge people to use the tool ive posted, you can do so much more in it than what ive done here. I'm still learning it and actually really enjoying using it, cant say ive found other tools as decent as this one.

IMO 1000x1000 is 2 small for good map background.

that image in this thread is originally 10000x5000(imgur might have made it smaller)
